Long-time Smoking Cessation Facilitator Honoured

On Thursday, July 12, Barbara Delorme was recognized as a Smoke-free Champion by Ottawa Public Health (OPH). For many years, Barbara has facilitated a quit smoking drop-in at Centretown Community Health Centre through the Accessible Chances to Quit Smoking (A.C.E.S.S.) program, a partnership of OPH and community partners that provides support to quit smoking in a relaxed and informal group atmosphere.  Barbara graduated from the A.C.E.S.S. program herself 18 years ago. She then volunteered with the program before being trained as a cessation facilitator.
