Today is World No Tobacco Day and Ottawa Public Health (OPH) is celebrating Ottawa’s smoke-free champions.Yesterday, May 30th at 7:00pm, Catherine O’Grady, Executive Producer of the International Children’s Festival and the TD Ottawa Jazz Festival was honored with a Smoke-Free Champion Festivals Certificate presented by Dr. Isra Levy, OPH’s Medical Officer of Health and Dr. Atul Kapur, member of the Ottawa Board of Health and President of Physicians for a Smoke-Free Canada.The International Children’s Festival and the TD Ottawa Jazz Festival became voluntarily smoke-free in 2011. The leadership of their Boards of Directors and Executive Producer, Catherine O’Grady has created smoke-free events for the young and young at heart to enjoy.
